We can’t say for sure that they are about the fame and all, but while Record Label CEOs like Davido, Don Jazzy, Olamide and more are in the spotlight, there are other top notch Record Label chiefs who aren’t about the spotlight but rather prefer to see things fall in place as they make decisions from their office seats that has a lot to the music that we groove to from our singers.
Without further ado, YBL takes a look at some record label executives that are presumably not interested in fame but rather fortunes.
1. Segun Demuren.
Kick-starting the list is the man who makes final decisions at the Empire Mates Entertainment group, the former record label of singers, Wizkid and Skales.
Segun is also the chief source of funds and son of billionaire, Harold Segun Demuren, who was the Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority for 8 years. (December 2005 to March 2013).
The gentleman is also prime at EAN Aviation, the first fully integrated FBO and maintenance facility in Lagos, Nigeria.
His younger brother, Tunde Demuren recently got married media personality,Toolz Oniru.
2. Emperor Geezy.
Relatively unknown Record Label owner, Emperor Geezy is the CEO of Kiss Daniel and Sugarboy’s record label G-Worldwide.
In spite of the fact that he’s gotten name drops from Nigerian music rising stars, Kiss Daniel and Sugarboy’s songs, he remains relatively unknown.
If you are a true fan of Five Star music act,KCee, you sure would have heard him give credits to “E-Money” in most of his tracks.
Though known to some, it’s certain many don’t know him that well.
E-Money is the younger brother of Kcee and chief source of funds when matters affiliated to Five Star Music arise.
4. Tunji Afonja.
This brother pictured alongside MAVIN‘s chief executive, Don Jazzy is the Chief Digital Officer of Mavin Records.
He is the backbone of Mavin Record’s strongest brand on social media in Nigeria… which for real, is stronger than that of many big businesses.
This dude is a high resource tech guy and it certainly is no joke that all Mavin record artiste have their Instagram account verified.
5. Dilly Umenyiora.
This dapper looking gentleman is a billionaire businessman and the CEO of Eric Many Records, home of popular singer,Runtown.
The businessman is also the owner of Dilly Motors and is blessed with 3 children.
6. Audu Maikori.
Before he made Mr Incredible, M.I Abaga, the President of the Choc Boi Nation, CBN, this gentleman is the founder of the Chocolate City Group. Home to Nigerian superstars like, Ice-Prince, Jesse Jagz, MI,basically the Choc boiz.
Suspekt; the main man behind Capital Hill Music, home to sensational Nigerian songstress, Chidinma.
Not only does he make decisions for his label, Suspeckt also produces hit tracks and even feature in them, lyrically.
8. Adewale Adeleke.
Frequently referred to as Chairman HKN, Adewale Adeleke is the Chairman of seriously popular HKN Music group, where his younger brother Davido is the head honcho.
