Nigerians have reacted on social media as President Buhari did not attend the federal executive meeting today May 3.
We earlier reported that for the third time in a row, President Muhammadu Buhari was absent at Federal Executive Council meeting.
We also reported that in the president’s place is Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Consequently, many Nigerians have voiced their anger on Facebook, calling on the president to resign and take care of himself.
Egbo Christian in his reaction said:
“Some are saying pray for him. I said why are we praying when he has not admitted that he is sick.He does not need prayer. He only needs to resign for his own good to survive. If PMB loves himself, he should resign and rest and stop holding this nation to ransom.”
On his part, Okofu Tony said:
“It is obvious that the president is sick and unable to carry out the functions of his office therefor, he should save us from further embarrassment by resigning immediately or the national assembly should wake up to it’s responsibility by commencing impeachment proceedings against him.”
Here are other remarks by Nigerians.
Meanwhile the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) advised President Muhammadu Buhari to seek further treatment, if that would restore his sound health and help to pilot the country’s affairs.
The CAN president, Rev. Samson Olasupo, gave the advice through a communique issued on Tuesday, May 2, by his special assistant on media, Pastor Bayo Oladeji, at the just concluded 104th annual session of the Nigeria Baptist Convention held in Abuja.
