EFCC reports that the sum of approximately $50m recovered from Osborne apartment in Ikoyi has been permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.
On April 13, Federal High Court in Lagos ordered the temporary forfeiture of the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 recovered by EFCC from a four bedroom apartment at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The court, in a ruling on Thursday afternoon by Justice Muslim Hassan, ordered that the funds be temporarily forfeited to the FG.
Judge Hassan adjourned till May 5, 2017, incase anyone interested in the funds show up before him to prove why the money should not be permanently forfeited to the FG.
EFCC took to twitter to announce that a court has ordered the final forfeiture of the unclaimed “$43.4m, £27,800, N23.2m” found in on April 2017, to the Federal Government.
