Manchester City have completed the signing of Tottenham and England right-back Kyle Walker for an initial fee of £45m. The deal will reportedly increase to about £50m when considering the £5m in ads on which could make him the most expensive English player in history.
The defender said;
“I am excited to be marking for City and can hardly wait to begin,” said Walker. “Get up and go Guardiola is a standout amongst the most regarded directors on the planet.”
Walker, who has 27 caps for the three lions joined Spurs from Sheffield United in 2009 and made 183 Premier League appearances.
He also said;
“I feel he can help me take my game to a new level.”
The 27-year-old, who will wear the number two shirt, is required to go with City on Monday for their pre-season tour of USA.
