Former Chelsea striker, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who has been in charge of the Cobblers since September last year has been sacked as the manager of Northampton Town.
In line with this, Kelvin Thomas, Northampton chairman said, “We are sorry to see Jimmy depart as he has worked very hard for us but we felt a change at this point was in the best interests of the club.”
He also said, “It has certainly been a challenging time for the club, but we need to look forward and put our full focus on these remaining five fixtures”
He then thanked Jimmy for his work while he was the manager, and he wished him the very best in the future.
