I was at an event few days ago. And, a scholarship was surprisingly announced.
It was ascholarship to attend a photography academy.
It was to be given to people who want to make photography a huge source of Income. People who have the passion for it.
Five people would be randomly selected out of the many who wrote down their names, they’d give a short speech saying why they should be picked for this scholarship. And finally, the best two would be chosen and enrolled in the academy.
When it was time to randomly select names and call out these “aspiring” students.
The first name was called…….. He was no where to be found.
The second name was called…. He was no where to be found
They moved on called other names.
Where did they go to?
No one knew the answer to those questions.
Talk about being passionate, Those two people might have had the most burning passion for photography.
They might have prayed every single night for God to bring helpers their way.
But here they are, not prepared for the blessing they seek.
Here, not ready to grab the opportunity to live their passion.
Now, I understand why it is said that passion isn’t enough.
How prepared are you for your success?
If someone comes to you and asks you what you’d do with 1million dollars, can you give a well meaning talk and convince him that you’re ready for the opportunity?
Or would you just stand there and talk of the kind of clubs you’re going to visit and the kind of car you’ll buy with it?
Luck happens when opportunity meets you prepared.
If you aren’t prepared, opportunities will come and move past you.
How prepared are you for your blessings when they finally come?
After the five people were randomly selected, an opportunity was given to randomly select another two.
These people were required to each give a minute talk explaining why the scholarship should be given to them.
Only two people with the most convincing answers gets the scholarship.
And indeed only two people got it.
I remember someone walking up the stage to say she wants to do photography because she loves taking pictures…. I mean, that’s never convincing.
The other person was so shy to speak until her one minute elapsed.
The other guy forgot the instruction and was telling long stories, his time was up too.
And that was how they lost it.
This shows how prepared we ought to be always. We have to take out fear and all limiting beliefs.
Know why you want a thing, that’s the only thing that will keep you going when the pains come.
Remember that we all just attended an event, nobody expected a scholarship to be announced, and two people won it. They were prepared to grab their opportunity.
How prepared are you?
Think about it and always be prepared for opportunities don’t always come as we think it would.
Sometimes, it comes by surprise and blesses only the prepared.
