-Paul Ilesanmi: Are you Ahitophel?
Ahitophel was a counselor to King David in Israel.
Counsellors were the right hand men of the king in decision making.
This means that Ahitophel held a great position in the palace.
His wisdom was impeccable.
That Bible says that “And the counsel of Ahithophel in those days was as if a man had consulted the word of God” 2Sam 16:23
But something happened.
Absalom, David’s son revolted against his father- David.
He wanted to be king and upon hearing this, Ahitophel went to be a part of it and he began to give Absalom counsel on what to do.
When David heard of it, he prayed
“O Lord, I pray You, turn Ahithophel’s counsel into foolishness.” 2Sam 15:31
And that was exactly what happened.
His counsels to Absalom were rejected.
The man later committed suicide.
Beloved, never misuse your position or gift!
If you use your gifts to torment people, the Lord will turn against you.
Let me repeat it😁 If you use your gifts to torment people, the Lord will turn against you.
ICYM: Paul Ilesanmi: My Thoughts Towards You
“But when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey, went home to his city, put his household in order, and hanged himself and died, and was buried in the tomb of his father”
2Sam 17:23
God will always resist the proud.
Please don’t permit the idea of Without me they can do nothing in your life.
It has sent many on the pathway of pride.
So you want to “hold down the company” because you are the most hard-working staff and you feel they cannot survive without you.
It may only affect them for a while but not forever.
The dimension of anointing you operate in should not make you think you are indispensable to the body of Christ.
If a Moses misbehaves, there will always be a Joshua to replace him.
Don’t use your influence or power against people.
